Measure Three would generate unintended consequences. The overbroad language of Measure Three could allow people to seek exemptions from laws that are meant to protect the public. For example, based on a religious belief, an individual might not be obligated to comply with laws against child abuse, domestic violence, or discrimination. The real purpose of Measure Three is to put individuals ahead of the common good of all North Dakotans.
