Well atheism is alive and looking very healthy according to the census. The number of people reporting 'No Religion' has grown in leaps and bounds in a decade -- a nanosecond in religious time. From 15 per cent of the population in 2001 to 18.7 per cent in 2006 -- and the number is now 22.3 per cent in 2011 -- on my rudimentary arithmetic that is an increase of 50 per cent in a decade. This is a highly significant moment in Australian godlessness -- OMG!
