This may not be widely known, but churches and synagogues from across the nation will be gathering February 8-10 for Evolution Weekend (formerly Evolution Sunday), to affirm that science and religion are compatible, and that evolution does not threaten faith. The event has been going on since 2006, the date nearest Charles Darwin's birthday on February 12, 1809.
