The first recipient of the Humanists Making a Difference award from the American Humanist Association was Lyn Alexander of the Humanist Association of Greater Philadelphia. She was recognized Sunday for her efforts to educate lawmakers and the public about the effects of fracking, starting a free book giveaway program, volunteering with libraries, and working on local revitalization efforts.
