WR Church Bringing Christmas Concert To Macon's City Hall

For the second time in two months, religious services are coming to Macon City Hall.

Mayor Jack Ellis first flung the City Council chambers open to the faithful in October, when he helped host a feast marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Now, from Warner Robins, comes Westside Baptist Church with a Christmas program scheduled to take place in the chambers today, celebrating the birth of Jesus.

"This will be a concert about the complete, wonderful, redemptive love of the one and only true God," a flier reads. "This is not about Westside Baptist Church. It is all about professing our God in Macon's City Hall!"
